Communico uses libnet.info as the default domain for libraries using Attend, Reserve and Sites. For Broadcasts, screens can be registered by visiting communico.tv
Libnet.info is the default domain used by Communico and by adding your library's keyword a subdomain is created for a unique url. For example, Seasons Library, who's keyword is 'seasons' would have the url seasons.libnet.info
Other domains can be used with Communico depending on which modules you have and where your site is hosted.
SCENARIO 1
Yes you can. If you own the domain, you will need to supply Communico with a full list of the urls you want to use. For example
www.seasonslibrary.org
seasonslibrary.org
Once we agree with you a time for the switchover to occur, you will need to point the DNS A record for your URLs to our load balancer. Please contact support for this information.
This would usually be done in the control panel of the company that you purchased the domain from, or you currently use for web hosting. Communico do not handle this for you.
SCENARIO 2
Yes, but only with subdomains. If you create a subdomain your events can be displayed with a url like this events.ourcurrentdomain.org/events
And you could do the same for room reservation pages using Reserve too.
You would just need to supply Communico with the subdomains you have created and the modules to use them for. Typically events and rooms are used for Attend and Reserve but the sub domains can be anything you choose.
You could also set up a secondary domain www.seasonslibraryevents.org and use this for events pages.
Important: As the Attend and Reserve pages are hosted by Communico we can't use your domain to display in this format ourcurrentdomain.org/events
